The braised ox cheek offers a hearty and succulent experience. Slow cooked to perfection, the tender ox cheek is accompanied by cauliflower puree, roast cauliflower florets, and a rich Arran mustard jus. It’s a melody of flavours that are the perfect way to start your visit.

Cullen skink, a traditional fish soup, showcases the essence of Scottish seafood. With smoked haddock, leeks, potatoes, and cream, it’s a comforting dish that pays homage our country’s cooking traditions.

Vegetarians are in for a treat with the beetroot and fig. Salt-baked beetroot, roast fig, baby goat’s cheese, toasted hazelnuts, and caper dressing come together to create a vibrant and satisfying starter.

Main acts: culinary brilliance on every plate

The main courses at The Buttery are nothing short of spectacular. The woodland pigeon, cooked to medium-rare perfection, offers a delightful combination of pan-fried pigeon breast, braised red cabbage, roast root gratin, celeriac puree, and gin-flavoured jus. An indulgence for the senses.

For those with a penchant for premium cuts, the Scotch beef is a winner. Fillet of Scottish beef, roscoff onion, parmesan and polenta cake, wilted spinach, and roast onion come together to create a symphony of flavours. A small supplement that is well worth the investment for an unparalleled dining experience.
